Welcome to Kittiwake's Atlantic Islands Adventure - the site that keeps you up to date with the progress of the yacht Kittiwake and her crew as they sail from Newhaven, UK to the Caribbean and back during 2006/2007.

This voyage of some ten and a half thousand nautical miles is the fulfilment of a long standing wish of mine to 'sail the Atlantic' in the company of family and friends.

The route involves crossing the Bay of Biscay, sailing down the coast of northern Spain and Portugal to the Algarve and then venturing out into the Atlantic. The first island en route is Maderia and then Gran Canaria, the departure point for the three thousand mile crossing to St Lucia in the Caribbean. The return journey in the early summer of 2007 takes in the islands of Antigua, Bermuda and the Azores. The final leg back to UK waters includes a stop in Falmouth before progressing back up the English Channel to our home port of Newhaven, East Sussex.

On this site you will be able to find out more about Kittiwake and her crew, study the Passages we take, share our experiences through seeing the Photographs & Log of our adventures. You will also find how to keep in Contact with us along the way. Perhaps you may even be able to join us for a week or so in the Caribbean in 2007.

I invite you to share in our adventures with us by exploring this site and letting us know your thoughts.
